About Me

I am a Florida native; I attended Brigham Young University and graduated with my degree in Business Management, Marketing. I moved back east for five years, DC area and then NC, but we are now back in Utah county. I am married to a stud aka my best friend, Mr Smith. We have a daughter named Lexi. Most days you will find me editing, reading, decorating, blogging, organizing, or learning something new.  I bought my first Canon Rebel in 2008 and it has been hard to set it down; the digital world has grown exponentially since then. I recently purchased a full framed body (Canon Mark II). Photographs move me. I like testing angles and candid/journalistic shooting. People are my absolute favorite. I love feedback and I love new projects and clients. I currently shoot with my 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.8 and I love them both. The next investment should most likely be a 35mm or 70-200 lens. Oh there is always something! Especially when I am trying to grow my studio.

There are a lot of photographers out there that cover a wide girth of photo ability. I am the hobbiest turned photographer only after the convincing of many family and friends. Bless them. I don't do this full-time, at least not yet. I didn't go to school for photography, so take that for what it's worth. I want to know more. There is always more to know. But I love what I do and if it seems I'm a fit for you, I'd only be honored. I'm not out to convince anyone, but to those who do ask me to be their photographer, my goal is to capture you, your family, your wee ones, your special day. It's all about you. I'm chill. I'm much better at being a wallflower than a director, but I fake it until I make it when I need to. I expect you to be you. I'll just bring my camera. And maybe a little sarcasm.
