Katelyn & Josh Engagements

This was a perfect day. It was risky going up the canyon and meeting up with someone when you don't have service and we almost missed each other! In fact we did, but in the end it worked out and I'm SO happy it did. Look at this lovely location, with this lovely lighting, with this lovely couple... And I'll have you know the groom-to-be enjoyed taking photos when all was said and done; wait does this mean the bridal session will be even more enjoyable!? It's hard to top this, but I love couples because there is so much personality and love-ness to express that I ALWAYS take as much sunlight and smiles that I can get.

A session isn't always about "which one will we send out" - for this session I felt like I had to post some of the other nontraditional "just because we're beautiful people in a beautiful place with so much love I can't stop staring" photos as well. Overload, you could say.

I can't wait to get to know them more and capture their big day - exciting times ahead!

The Good Family

There is just something about the country that makes me feel at home. I just love the open fields and rolling hills. Now, add a cute little family and BAM! Check it out . . .

Jim & Audrey - Just Us Two

Who knew June in southern Virginia could be so hot without air-conditioning! No matter what the circumstances - an enormous storm blowing in the previous night knocking down trees & power or record high temperatures - Jim and Audrey will endure it well.  I have always admired Audrey's ability to carry stress with a laugh and Jim of course is always right by her side encouraging the laughter. As a previous co-worker with Audrey, I have known her for quite some time. I know I wouldn't have been so calm and light-hearted in the same circumstances. It may have been a rough start for these two, but you couldn't see it on their faces. They were totally wrapped up in each other and the day was so enjoyable and entertaining. These two are truly meant for each other. Their family and friends had the same joyful and good-hearted demeanor so you better believe it was a time of celebration and in a beautiful setting I might add!

Rock on Mr & Mrs Rudick

Megan Johnston is a Babe

I love this girl for just being my model and letting me experiment with a photoshoot in what was once my backyard. These photographs were taken about a year ago of my dear friend Megan Johnston who is a stunner. Just take a look. She probably got so many bug bites just for me and these stunna photos. There are so many more too!

Audrey and Jim

This weekend Eric and I headed to what wilderness we could find nearest the DC metro area and took a photo shoot hike with Audrey and Jim. Although a little chilly and floody, we were able to capture some good shots along the trail. I met Audrey at 2020 LLC where we both currently work {we would both rather be outside than locked up in cubes - but you do what you have to do}. We are both connected to men who love the rugged outdoors and tempting nature.

They are getting married June 30, 2011, and I am so excited for both of them!
They are meant to be - don't they look good together?
